300 killed in first 5 days of break

BangkokPost.com Happy New Year! Thailand is glad to see the end of a highly troubled year which left the country facing strong challenges. On those days, there were 3,161 road accidents nationwide, with 3,396 people injured. On Saturday alone, 22 were killed, 400 others injured in 368 road accidents. Chiang Mai and Suring provinces had the highest casualties on Saturday, with three people killed at each province.
