Explosions reported in E Pakistan, at least 6 injured

ISLAMABAD, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Four blasts took place in eastern Pakistan's Punjab province on Friday, injuring at least six persons, private TV channel DAWN NEWS reported. The explosions occurred in the electric-control room of Al-Falah theater on Mall road, the main road in Lahore, capital city of Punjab province, said the report. The police have cordoned off the area and the rescue team have started relief activities. TV footage showed that the blasts created a panic in the area, which is located on the main road of the city. The rescue team said six people were injured in the incident, but DAWN NEWS TV channel quoted a local official as saying that none was injured. Reports said that police arrested a suspect and shifted him to an unknown location.
